This painting belongs to the Newspaper Paintings series. It was during my first year in Paris (2003), I was working in the workshops called "La Vache Bleue". The atmosphere of the day was heavy and full of things to do, and then I decided to work at night. I had the idea of working with old and wrinkled newspapers, giving them a penumbra effect, as in Rembrandt style. After working all night long, exhausted, I finished, around 7 AM, and only then I decided to take a rest.
